NORTHAMPTON, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office received a grant of more than $125,000 to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Awarded through the Federal Violence Against Women Act Grant Program, the funds will support the office’s existing domestic violence intervention project.

This early intervention model provides a coordinated response between officials and victims. This will also strengthen services and counseling immediately after an interaction - with the end goal of improving public safety in the region.
