Nov. 10 officially recognized as John Cena Day in Massachusetts

Nov. 10 is now John Cena Day in Massachusetts.
The TD Garden in Boston confirmed the news in a post on the social platform X, showing photos of Cena holding the paperwork marking the holiday. The wrestler is a Massachusetts native and a professional wrestler.
“It’s officially John Cena Day in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts! Huge thanks to @MassGovernor for the special recognition," the post reads.
The news came after Monday night’s edition of WWE Raw, hosted at the TD Garden. The 17-time world champion received the honors backstage, signed by Gov. Maura Healey.
“Thank you, Boston,” Cena said in a post on X. “It meant so much to be able, for one last time, to be allowed an opportunity to do what I love, in a place I love, surrounded by those I love.”
Cena is on a retirement tour after announcing last year that 2025 would be his final year in the ring.
While in front of the Boston crowd, Cena noted that he personally asked the WWE to make a stop in Boston during his retirement tour, according to Wrestle Zone.
Cena was born and raised in West Newbury and graduated from Springfield College in 1999 with a degree in exercise physiology and kinesiology.
