Officials, family speak about Molly Bish’s killing 20 years later

WARREN, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Nearly 26 years ago on June 27th, a 16-year-old lifeguard in Warren went missing. The disappearance of Molly Bish in June of 2000 set off one of the most extensive missing persons searches in Massachusetts history.
Her remains were found about 3 years later, in Palmer — just miles from the initial crime scene. While there have been thousands of leads and tips, as well as more than 200 boxes of evidence, molly’s killer has never been found.
This time, we introduce you to the new detective on the case — trying to solve this decades old murder mystery.
“With me I can honestly say this case is always on my mind. I mean I have a little briefcase where I’m constantly carrying it where if I have any extra time throughout the day or in-between meetings or interviews, I can dive in,” said Mass. State Police Detective Chelsea Safford.
Hear more from Detective Chelsea Safford — as well as the Worcester County District Attorney, and Molly’s Sister Heather Bish as they continue searching for answers at 6.
