One hospitalized after sulfuric acid spill at local high school

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - One person was taken to the hospital following a hazmat situation at East Longmeadow High School on Monday, according to fire officials.

The East Longmeadow Fire Department said that two gallons of sulfuric acid spilled Monday afternoon. In addition, a level one hazmat call was put out and fire officials responded to the scene.

The injuries of the affected are unknown at this time.
