Only post office in Shutesbury to close, town administrator says

SHUTESBURY, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The one and only post office in Shutesbury is set to close next month, according to Town Administrator Haley Bolton.
In a statement, Bolton said the USPS will be closing June 6 and that it will mostly impact seniors.
“One resident has stated that as a disabled veteran he relies on the post office to receive needed medication,” she said. “The Town is currently working with the American Postal Workers Union and state and federal legislators, but outreach and advocacy is needed to save the post office.”
