SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Two parents accused of raping their 2-year-old daughter were arraigned in superior court Thursday morning.

25-year-old William Muniz and 28-year-old Editza Miro-Navarro both pleaded not guilty. They were previously arraigned in district court back in March and are now facing a combined 25 charges.

In February, detectives started investigating Muniz for suspected child abuse and discovered alleged sexual abuse. Those investigators said Miro-Navarro knew about this abuse for almost a month, didn’t report it, and destroyed cell phone evidence.

Their two young sons were allegedly endangered and their 2-year-old daughter raped. The two are held without bail.

They’re due back in court on June 30th for a dangerousness hearing
