Police asks for help in finding suspect after deadly hit-and-run

PITTSFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Police in Pittsfield is attempting to track down the driver of a deadly hit and run, and you might be able to help. Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night, Pittsfield Police were called to the area of Linden Street and Francis Avenue for reports of a person in the road.

Police couldn’t find a victim or car at that location but began searching the area, leading them to discover a man dead on West Housatonic Street.

According to early investigations, the victim was struck near Linden and Francis, and trapped under the car dragging him to where police found him. The driver fled the scene, in what’s believed to be a dark color sedan, most likely a Honda or Toyota.
