HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A break-in at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church is under investigation. Sources said raffle prizes meant for kids and local veterans were the culprit’s targets. On May 28th, staff at the church reported to police that raffle baskets and other items were stolen in a breaking-and-entering.

These prizes were to support Saint Paul’s Day Care and the Greater Holyoke Veteran’s Lunch, which serves free meals to veterans weekly. Now, organizers are hosting a fundraiser pizza party at Holyoke Elks Lodge on Whitney Avenue — next Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.

Tickets are $25 at the door, and include pizza, pasta and meatballs, plus a D.J. with all proceeds still going to the two causes.
