Police investigating altercation at Northampton High School

NORTHAMPTON, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Police are investigating after an altercation on Wednesday at Northampton High School.
Superintendent Dr. Portia Bonner told us police were called for a disturbance on campus. She said an individual had entered the building for a scheduled appointment. At some point, there was an altercation between that person and a student.
The situation was quickly contained and there are no safety concerns. Police continue to investigate the incident and are not releasing further details.
