SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A heavy police presence was spotted around Lorraine Lake near Lorimer Street on Friday afternoon, the scene cleared here around 5 p.m.

However, here’s a look at what conditions were like around 4 p.m., several police vehicles were on scene, along with a car from the Chief Medical Examiner.

Authorities used caution tape to block off the entrance to the lake as well.

Crews from CJ’S Towing were also on scene here.

Western Mass News has reached out to the Springfield Police Department for more information on this incident, but at this time we have yet to hear back.
