WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A large emergency response in West Springfield. State and local officials have blocked off a part of Memorial Avenue.

Here’s a look of the scene around 8:30 p.m. Thursday night, you can see several cruisers in the area just after the rotary, and before Main Street.

Our news crew captured this right by Saver’s and Bob’s Discount Furniture, where traffic was being redirected. There was also a fire engine on scene, right by an overturned shopping cart along the sidewalk.

We’re waiting to hear back from officials on what exactly happened on that busy road tonight.
