Police pursuit results in pair of drug, gun arrests in North Adams
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The suspect of a police chase in North Adams on Wednesday was handed even more charges Thursday.
Police detectives watched Eugenio Medina of North Adams get behind the wheel while his license is suspended. Medina refused to pull over for police, leading officers from North Adams into Clarksburg before finally stopping. An empty gun holster was found on Medina when he was arrested while cocaine and a scale were seized from the car.
The passenger, Ricky Lopez of Chicopee was found with a stack of cash when being detained. On Thursday a K9 team searched along the pursuit route — finding a loaded gun medina allegedly ditched in Clarksburg.
Lopez faces a charge of possession with intent to distribute. Medina faces 11 charges for driving, drug, and gun related offenses.
