Police search for man accused of attempted break-ins
STURBRIDGE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Sturbridge police warning neighbors to be extra vigilant and are asking for help after a large-scale search this morning.
Officials say a resident of Paradise Lane in town, along with a resident on Wells Road in Brookfield, both reported a man in a gray hoodie trying to break into their car.Officers spotted a suspicious car, which took off, sped through a gate, and crashed on Old Towne Way.
The driver ran, initiating a multi-agency search, but police believe the three possible suspects involved may have left the area, and could try returning in the coming days or weeks.
Sturbridge Police shared this picture from a homeowner’s security camera and are asking if anyone recognizes that suspect. They’re also asking for any related video footage that could help in their investigation.
Residents are urged to be vigilant, lock vehicles and houses, and call 911 for any suspicious activity.
