Police seize handgun, arrest juvenile after traffic stop

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Holyoke Police Department Chief Brian Keenan announced that on Wednesday, June 3rd, that police received a report of a teenager that was armed with a handgun driving around in the city.

Officers stopped a driver nearby 230 Maple Street that day, upon investigation, officers noticed the 17-year-old driver had a suspected license and placed him under arrest.

In a search of the car, police then noticed a high capacity handgun that was capable of holding 22 bullets.

Due to the age of the suspect, his identity will not be released.
