Quality-of-life checks leads to drug arrest

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan said that on Thursday, police officers were undergoing quality-of-life checks at 173 and 177 Elm Street.
Just before 6 p.m. that day, officers had observed 58-year-old Eric Garcia of Springfield in the area. During a search of Garcia, police found about 30 bags of suspected heroin and fentanyl and almost 40 capsules of cocaine.
Garcia was quickly arrested and is now facing a slew of drug charges.
