Road closure announced for Tuesday in East Longmeadow

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Part of Mapleshade Avenue in East Longmeadow will be closed for part of the day on Tuesday.
From 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Mapleshade Avenue will be closed at John Street to allow for gas line work in the area, the police department said. Mapleshade will be inaccessible between North Main and Elm during that time.
Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes and allow for additional travel time. Detours will be in place.
