Scooter versus car crash turns deadly in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Just after midnight early Sunday morning, the Springfield Police Department responded to a crash just off the Interstate 291 westbound off-ramp on Page Boulevard.
When police arrived, they discovered a vehicle had collided with a scooter. The driver of the scooter was quickly transported to Baystate Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the car remained on scene. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
