Springfield man sentenced on drug trafficking charges

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A Springfield man will spend more than six years in federal prison on drug and gun charges.
26-year-old Joshua Garcia was sentenced to 75 months behind bars, followed by 5 years of supervised release. Federal prosecutors said Garcia pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to distribute and carrying a firearm in furtherance of drug dealing.
The case stems from an incident on October 3rd, 2024 when investigators say he had both the drugs and the gun.
