Springfield Thunderbirds advance to Atlantic Division semifinals

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The Springfield Thunderbirds are on a roll.
The Thunderbirds have won the first round by winning two of their last three games in the playoffs and tap sports bar hosted a watch party to celebrate.
On Saturday night, fans watched the Thunderbirds beat the Charlotte Checkers two to one in overtime.
The Thunderbirds have reached the Atlantic Division semifinals and will play against the Providence Bruins on May 1st.
