State police cruiser struck by driver on I-91 in East Windsor

EAST WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) - A state police cruiser on Interstate 91 south in East Windsor was struck by a driver, troopers said.
State police said the incident happened in the area of exit 45 on Thursday night.
They said a trooper parked the cruiser in the right lane of the highway for a separate investigation.
The trooper was outside of the vehicle at the time it was hit, so the trooper was not hurt.
The driver of the striking vehicle was transported to a hospital with minor injuries, state police said.
They also said the driver was issued an infraction.
No other details were released.
Troopers sought to remind drivers of the Connecticut law to slow down and move over for emergency and police vehicles.
