HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Sticking with New Year’s resolutions past January can feel impossible, but if you wanted to tap more into your artistic side. The Print Shop has just what you’re looking for. They are hosting a free workshop on the first Saturday of the month from now until May at their location in downtown Holyoke.

The Print Shop offers a welcoming environment, we’re you can drop in and get hands on experience with all the tools, tech and creative possibilities that come with working at a tech shop or classroom space.

“(It’s) a place where there’s no staff running the machines, the community gets membership and they can come in and use the machines to make banners, signs, copies, t-shirts, all sorts of different kinds of prints,” said Jeff Bianchine, the Executive Director at The Print Shop.

During the Saturday workshops, The Print Shop is offering a new and fun project that you can make and take home with you. The first workshop was a Valentines Day event, with card making, custom sticker printing and creating wearable art.

“I can’t believe how rewarding it is to take kids who don’t think they can do things and watch them walk out with what was in their heads and now in their hand, and it’s a very powerful thing to see,” Bianche said.

If you would like to join in on the fun and bring home your own designs, the next ‘Free Saturday Event’ is March 7th from 10 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon.

You can head over to their location on 62 Main Street in downtown Holyoke, or go to their website to learn more.
