Thousands of bags of heroin seized in 2 North Adams searches

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Nearly 7,000 bags of suspected heroin and fentanyl were seized in search warrants at a North Adams address this year, police said.

On Jan. 16, four individuals were arrested from 221 Church Street and 4,440 bags of heroin were seized.

On Monday, another search warrant was conducted at the same address. Over 2,500 bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl were seized as well as cocaine, distribution materials and $5,352.

Two people from North Adams and two people from Springfield were arrested and charged.

Jaivon Clark and Jameir Tention, both of Springfield, face ten charges each related to firearm possession and drug possession.

Sidney Burger was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of ammunition and conspiracy to violate drug law. Courtney Haner was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of heroin and conspiracy to violate drug law.
