WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The 4th annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament, Hooplandia, is this coming weekend and time is ticking down to register for it.

Since 2023, Hooplandia has taken place at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield. Hundreds of teams across all of the youth and adult divisions are expected to participate.

There will be rivalry games, open courts, a leadership award presentation and live music from DJ Mad Maxx. Then, the two-day tournament goes from Saturday into Sunday.

While teams are playing, former NBA star and Boston Celtics announcer Brian Scalabrine and former professional hooper Ta’Quan Zimmerman will each lead their own basketball clinics.

Last year, there were around 275 teams across all divisions. That number is expected to be higher this year.
