Traffic stop in East Windsor leads to multiple charges

EAST WINDSOR, CT (WGGB/WSHM) - East Windsor Police stopped a driver on bridge street for a motor vehicle violation, but the search led to an investigation for further charges.
During the stop Friday night, the South Windsor Police K-9 Unit assisted the search and alerted the officer to the presence of narcotics inside the car, leading the seizure of a stolen firearm, a large quantity of cocaine and fentanyl.
The suspect is being held on a $250,000 dollar bond and is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court on Monday.
