LEVERETT, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5th, members of the Leverett Fire Department was sent to the western end of North Leverett Road for a report of a car hitting a utility pole.

When crews arrived, they noticed the truck had run off the road and went right into the pole, cutting power to 10 homes. The driver of the truck received minor injuries in the crash and was sent to the nearby hospital for treatment.

North Leverett Road was closed for about 45 minutes while crews worked to clean up the scene.
