HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan said that on Friday morning, the Holyoke Police with the help of the FBI’s gang task force made a pair of drug related arrests.

On Thursday, the Springfield Police Department pulled over 33-year-old Manuel Sanchez of Southampton. Officers discovered that Sanchez had an outstanding warrants in connection of cocaine and fentanyl trafficking.

The arrest later on lead to the search of his brother, 33-year-old’s Luis Sanchez’s address in Holyoke. At 4:30 a.m. Friday morning police conducted the investigation at 771 Dwight Street.

Upon the search, police recovered two illegal firearms, and about 1500 vials of cocaine and 800 bags of fentanyl. Both the Sanchez brothers now face a slew of drug ang gun charges.

The investigation remains ongoing.
