AMHERST, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Students at UMass Amherst never froze at the opportunity to help their community. Saturday was no different, with the Center for Women and community at the university holding their Chilly Challenge.

At 10:30 Saturday morning, students took the cold plunge into Puffers Pond to raise money in support of survivors and a violence free community.

All donations made will go to help the center provide free services such as 24-7 sexual assault support, counseling, intensive training and much more.

If you still would like to support the counseling center, you can register on the “CWC Chilly Challenge 2025” page on the UMass Amherst website or click the donate link directly on their page.
