Water main break closes roads in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Around 1 p.m. on Saturday, Springfield Fire Department spokesperson Drew Piemonte stated that there are two water main breaks in the city.
The water main breaks are located on Tiffany Street and Elwood Street in Forest Park. Piemonte asked residents to avoid the area as crews work to make the repairs.
The Springfield Water and Sewer Department have been notified and are responding to the break.
