WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - If you ever find yourself driving through West Springfield, you’re going to want to pay even more attention.

Mayor Will Reichelt shared 3 new pedestrian crossings that have been completed along Dewey Street — and later this year, the crossings will be converted into raised crosswalks.

The mayor added the new additions will improve safety for pedestrians, while also making it easier for them to get around.

So, if you’re driving down Dewey, keep an eye out for neighbors using the new crossings.
