Western Mass Pioneers kick off in their new season

LUDLOW, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The Western Mass Pioneers kicked it into high gear for their start in the 2026 United Soccer League Two Season — defeating the Albany Rush 4 to 2.
The team started out in 1997, and all home games are played at the ‘Soccer Capital of New England, Lusitano Stadium, right here in Ludlow.
One lucky little girl even got to sing ahead of the game and described the experience as “really cool”.
The next time you can catch them is this Wednesday at the Seacoast United Phantoms.
