Wilbraham native selected in PWHL draft

WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -A Wilbraham native is set to join the Professional Women’s Hockey League.
Forward Mary Kate O’Brien was selected by PWHL Detroit during the draft last week.
During the 2025-26 season, she held the title of team captain of the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs and had 17 points in 38 games, including 14 assists and one game-winning goal.
She played in 162 games for UMD, the ninth most in program history.
