Women hit, seriously injured by car in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – An investigation is underway after a woman was hit by a vehicle in Springfield.
Springfield Police spokesperson Ryan Walsh said that officers were called to a reported crash involving a pedestrian around 8:45 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Page Boulevard and Ardmore Street.
The woman was taken to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries.
Walsh noted that the driver remained at the scene and the investigation is being led by the Springfield Police traffic unit.
