Gov. Healey awards grants to wildlife conservation

(WGGB/WSHM) - The Healey-Driscoll Administration announced over $343,000 in grants.
Funds will restore more than 191 acres of wildlife habitat across the state through the Mass-Wildlife Habitat Management Grant Program. Here in western Mass, a landowner in Ware received funding to maintain habitat for birds like the Eastern Whip-Poor-Will.
The goal is to improve habitats, protect biodiversity, boost climate resiliency, and enhance outdoor recreation. This program has restored nearly five thousand acres of habitat since 2015.
