WARREN, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A house fire in warren this afternoon has left one person seriously injured and without a home. Firefighters rushed to the burning home on Boston Post Road just after 4:30 p.m.

As the house was burning, they found a man who had already escaped the single-family home. Crews began treating him while fighting the fire, and he was later flown by life flight to a Rhode Island hospital, due to the severity of his injuries.

Mutual aid departments helped bring flames under control in about 25 minutes, and investigators are now working to determine the cause.

However, officials don’t believe it’s suspicious.
