‘Bring her home’: Savannah Guthrie responds after FBI releases footage of ‘possible suspect’ in mother’s case

(Gray News) - Savannah Guthrie responded on social media moments after law enforcement released surveillance videos and photos taken of a potential suspect in her missing mother’s case.
Guthrie’s post stated, “We believe she is still alive. Bring her home.”
The post also asked for anyone with information to call the tip lines of the FBI or the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
The FBI says the Bureau and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working with private sector partners to recover images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors - including the removal of recording devices.
The video images were recovered from residual data located in backend systems.
The announcement comes after Guthrie posted a new video to social media Monday afternoon as the search for her mother continued into its second week.
In the video, the “Today” show host asked for the public’s help in finding her mom, saying the family is at “an hour of desperation.”
She added, “We believe our mother is still out there. We need your help.”
Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie was taken against her will from her home just outside Tucson. She was last seen there on Jan. 31 and reported missing the next day after not attending church services.
DNA tests showed blood on Guthrie’s front porch was a match to her and her doorbell camera was disconnected in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Investigators were inside daughter Annie Guthrie’s home, about 4 miles from Nancy Guthrie’s house on Saturday.
On Sunday, an investigator was seen using a pole to search an underground tank behind Nancy Guthrie’s home.
