Dino-shaped nuggets could contain lead, officials say
(Gray News) - The Department of Agriculture said dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets could contain lead.
The USDA’s Food and Safety Inspection Service is issuing a health alert for the Walmart Great Value Dino-Shaped chicken nuggets.
The affected nuggets have a production date of Feb. 10, 2026, and a best-by date of Feb. 10, 2027. Lot code 0416DPO1215 and establishment number P44164 are printed on the back of the bag.
The 29-ounce bags contain about 36 nuggets and were shipped to Walmart stores nationwide.
The USDA said the items are no longer available for sale but could be in consumers’ freezers.
Lead is especially harmful to pregnant women, babies and young children.
