(Gray News) — Former Attorney General Pam Bondi has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and is receiving treatment.

Bondi revealed to CNN that she received the diagnosis after she was fired from her position in April.

Bondi said she is undergoing treatment and had surgery a few weeks ago. She told CNN she is “doing well.”

President Donald Trump fired Bondi as attorney general in early April after she received criticism for her handling of the Epstein files, among other concerns from Trump.

Bondi is scheduled to testify Friday in the House Oversight Committee’s Jeffrey Epstein probe.
