NEW YORK (Gray News) — Two people climbed to the top of the Empire State Building late Wednesday morning and appeared to get engaged.

Aerial footage from WABC shows two people holding onto the building’s spire and raising a black flag that reads, “When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”

Video also showed the two appear to get engaged, with one person down on their knee. The couple was then seen hugging and kissing.

The two wore all black clothing and black ski masks.

The two were on top of the building for about a half hour before climbing down.

WCBS reports the couple is now in police custody.

This is a breaking news story. More details to come.
