2 suspects arrested after armed robbery at West Springfield credit union

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – Two people are facing charges after a reported armed robbery in West Springfield.
West Springfield Police Sgt. Thomas Burke Jr. said that officers were called to Holyoke Credit Union on Elm Street around 10:25 a.m. Tuesday for an armed robbery in progress. When police arrived, they learned that a male suspect entered the credit union with a gun, demanded access to the vault, and fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money.
A preliminary investigation reportedly found that the suspect initially fled on foot before getting into a gray sedan, which parked nearby, with Georgia license plates. Local and state authorities, as well as the FBI, were alerted and the vehicle was located and pulled over several hours later. Two people, Marco Sostre of Brockton and Jose Garcia of Holyoke, were taken into custody without incident.
Both suspects have been charged with armed robbery while masked, three counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon, and three counts of threatening to commit a crime (murder).
