AMHERST, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- Monday marks 22 years since the disappearance of UMass Amherst student Maura Murray.

21-year-old Murray went missing on February 9, 2004, after she left UMass and crashed her car in rural Haverhill, New Hampshire.

Her case remains unsolved, but that hasn’t stopped her family from looking for answers.

They’ve worked with a private investigator in recent years, something Maura’s sister Julie has told us has given the family hope.

A vigil for Maura is being held by Light the Way Missing Persons Advocacy Project at 5:30 p.m. Monday evening in Woodsville, New Hampshire.
