5 people taken to hospital following tree involved crash

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- State Police are investigating a car crash involving a tree early Sunday morning that left two people with critical, life-threatening injuries.
According to police, they received a report of a car crash with entrapment on State Street, around 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning. That car was the only one involved, and had 5 people inside, including the driver.
Emergency responders from surrounding departments brought four to the hospital, while the fifth was taken by a family member. State and Belchertown police are investigating.
