- Parish Meeting. A meeting of the members of the Second Congregational Society in Northampton will be holden in the new meeting house on Wednesday, the 28th instant, at 3 o’clock, P.M. — Charles E. Forbes, Clerk.
- Churches in Hampshire County — In this county there are 23 towns, and not far from 30,000 inhabitants. The Congregationalists have 31 or 32 congregations, the Baptists 8 or 9, and the Methodists, 2 or 3. We do not know of a society of any other denomination, excepting a small one of Quakers in Pelham.

- For their exceptional mental and physical development qualities which won for them first prize in the “Fitter Families Contest,” conducted recently by the National Eugenics Society, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Barstow and their six children, of Hadley, will be presented this evening with a silver loving cup.
- The annual Christmas tree exercises will be held at the Community Chapel on Hospital Hill at 7 o’clock this evening. Santa Claus will be present for the usual distribution of gifts. An entertainment will follow with recitations and music.

- The citizens committee studying the Academically Talented (AT) program in the Northampton elementary schools decided Thursday night to recommend to the city’s school committee that the program be replaced by next September. They suggested in its stead a curriculum that would be available to all academically able students in Grades 4, 5, and 6.
- The Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committee, at its Monday meeting, voted to eliminate Hebrew from the language program in the Amherst-Pelham Regional School District next year in order to save money. Fifteen students are currently enrolled in the Hebrew program.
