Agawam man arrested after damaging South Windsor police cruiser during courtesy ride

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WFSB) - A man, whom South Windsor police said was given a courtesy ride by them, was arrested for threatening officers and damaging their cruiser.
They identified the man as 31-year-old Daron Turcotte of Agawam, MA.
The incident happened in April.
According to police, Turcotte was being given a courtesy ride by officers during which he damaged police equipment inside the cruiser and later made violent threats toward officers.
Turcotte turned himself in on Thursday.
Police charged him with second-degree criminal mischief, interfering with officers, and second-degree threatening.
He was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and given a court date of Aug. 12 in Manchester.
