Agawam Police to host National Night Out at School Street Park
AGAWAM, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The town of Agawam is gearing up for the return of its National Night Out.
It’s being held Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at School Street Park. There will be an inflatable obstacle course, free train rides on the roaming railroad, food trucks, and free giveaways. Attendees can also check out different town vehicles including police cruisers and fire trucks to get a better look at the big rigs first responders work with daily.
Agawam Police School Resource Officer Taylor Hartman said the event is more than just fun and games. “The Agawam [National] Night Out brings the community together to join with the police departments to make a better relationship in the community. Come on down, have some fun with us,” she explained.
When the event ends at 8 p.m., the fun won’t end. It will be followed by a ‘Movie in the Park’ which will be Pixar’s “Hoppers.”
