Amherst real estate company fined for asbestos violations

AMHERST, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has fined a company for asbestos violations.
MassDEP says it issued a $43,500 fine to Lincoln Management Company, which is doing business as Lincoln Real Estate.
Officials added that the company saw the violations while inspecting a South Pleasant Street property in July 2025. Inspectors said Lincoln failed to “apply appropriate asbestos work practices and controls.”
They say they also saw “untrained and unlicensed personnel actively removing asbestos-containing materials.”
