WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- Get your running shoes and dog leashes out. The Annual Jack Rome Memorial 5k And Fun Walk is starting the first weekend of May!

The annual pet-friendly event is being held Saturday, May 2nd, over at Fountain Park in Wilbraham. The money raised goes directly to local animals in need, via our station charity; The Foundation for TJO Animals.

The event starts at 11 a.m., and features the timed 5k, a one-mile walk, and the new ‘cat nap’ for those who can’t attend but would still like to donate.

There will also be food trucks and bubble soccer for the kids, so come out; Western Mass News will see you there!
