Bail set for Springfield parents charged with raping 2-year-old

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Bail has been set for the two Springfield parents accused of raping their two-year-old daughter.
William Muniz, 25, and 28-year-old Editza Miro-Navarro, 28, both pleaded not guilty on Tuesday and face a combined total of 25 charges.
In February, detectives started investigating Muniz for suspected child abuse and discovered alleged sexual abuse. Those investigators allege Miro-Navarro knew about the abuse for almost a month, didn’t report it, and destroyed cell phone evidence.
Their two young sons were allegedly endangered and their two-year-old daughter were raped.
Muniz bail’s has been set at $15,000 and Miro-Navarro’s was set at $2,500. There are conditions of release, if they post bail.
