Bowlers support Monson family recovering from devastating house fire
WARE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Roll-A-Way Lanes in Ware hosted a candlepin bowling fundraiser over the weekend to raise funds for the Brown family.
The event came approximately two weeks after their home caught fire on Lower Hampden Road in Monson. Billy Brown was left in critical condition and is still being treated at a medical facility in Boston.
This fundraiser is just one way that people in western Massachusetts are showing their support for him. “Hopefully, Billy will be home soon and they can spend the money on a new home and have everything settled for their new life,” said Karen Brown and Brittney Larck. “It’s very shocking to have such a wonderful community standing behind us after my family and I have endured such a emotional, devastating tragedy.”
All the bowling proceeds on Sunday went to support the Brown family.
