Bradley International Airport not seeing impacts from partial government shutdown

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WGGB/WSHM) -- There have been reports of hours-long lines at airports across the country amid the partial government shutdown. Hundreds of thousands of Homeland Security workers, including TSA agents, are working without pay until Congress passes a bill to renew Department of Homeland Security funding.
However, it looks like local air travelers are lucking out. Officials at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks say they haven’t had an operational impact from this partial shutdown.
Not only that, but they say as of now; they do not expect Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at the Connecticut airport.
President Donald Trump has deployed ICE agents to help guard exit lanes or check passenger IDs at airports.
