(WGGB/WSHM) -- Three anonymous students who were injured on Brown University’s campus during the December 13th shooting, that left two dead, are now suing the university for negligence. The three were among the nine others who were wounded.

The deadly shooting led to a six-day manhunt that crossed into Massachusetts, and ended with the killer, Claudio Neves Valente, being found dead in New Hampshire.

In their lawsuit, the students claim Brown University failed to keep the campus safe and failed to respond to reports that the gunman was seen in, and around, the Barus and Holley building.

All three lawsuits were filed last week in Rhode Island Superior Court. Brown University Spokesperson Brian Clark told the schools newspaper ‘The Brown Daily Hearld’, quote, “Brown is reviewing the complaints carefully and promptly.”
